Wild Aware says Elk Mommas Need You at Evergreen Lake this spring Training
Doing business locally helps stimulate the economy all the while fostering a stronger small business climate. Our business directory has over 500 members and is accessible by category or name search to assist you with all your needs.

Are you passionate about our mountain wildlife and keeping both animals and people safe? Wildlife Watch Team volunteers spend time outdoors at Evergreen Lake, engaging with and educating visitors about local wildlife and human/wildlife conflicts.
Volunteers model best practices for recreation around wildlife and use the nature center’s traveling exhibits to teach visitors to the lake about wildlife safely without stressing the animals.
Evergreen Audubon is again teaming up with Denver Parks and Recreation and Evergreen’s Wild Aware organization to continue the Wildlife Watch project. This project relies on volunteers to educate visitors to Evergreen Lake about our local elk. This is especially important in June, during calving, and later in the fall during rutting season.
Volunteer training will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Evergreen Lake. We will meet at the picnic tables just next to the parking lot.
