Indigenous Voices
July 18 – August 17, 2024
Opening reception Thursday, July 18 from 4 – 7 pm with artist Q&A at 6 pm
Indigenous Voices celebrates several contemporary Native American and Indigenous artists from New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Oklahoma as they share their lives and stories through their artwork. With close to 600 tribes in the US, every nation and culture is unique. In this exhibition, through their mediums of jewelry, knitting, beadwork, sculpture, painting, textile design, and photography, artists reveal how they have been influenced by their distinctive cultural heritage. Several of the Indigenous Voices artists will also have additional work on display and for sale at CAE’s Summerfest art and music festival on July 20 and 21.
